In case (like me) you guys missed this NYT tag cloud of the words and concepts used in the political conventions, definitely check it out (I found it on FFFFOUND!). Particularly interesting at first glance: Democrats spend a lot of time talking about McCain, but Republicans don't talk about Obama.
Think online visualisation tools are really useful for visualising speeches. I got a different perspective using Wordle to analyse Sarah Palin's convention speech against Joe Biden's speech here.
Great for spotting trends and gaining insight! (I wonder if they put the speeches through keyword density / tag cloud visualisation tools before they give them?)
