Finally there’s a company out there that realizes that we’re not all sappy hallmark drones. For those of you sick of the marketing hype that is Valentine’s Day you may appreciate Altoid’s approach to the holiday. The company opened three very temporary retail outlets and “invites the lovesick, lovelorn and Cupid-wary to a sanctuary from all the romantic overtures.”
The stores, located in NYC, Chicago, and Miami
Beyond providing shelter to over-marketed-to consumers, Altoids does have an ulterior motive – getting consumers to sample their new products. But who wouldn’t mind spending the day eating Dark Chocolate Dipped Mints and free lattes?!
