Batelle has not just nailed the essence of blogs -- he has described where marketing will head in the decade ahead.

I know we get discouraged about the pace of change, but it's important to remember that there were only 5 MM Internet users on the planet ten years ago. And only $150MM of online ad revenues. WE've grown to 876 MM users and $10Billion in ad revenues. At that pace, the role of temporal advertising will overtake traditional placements within the next ten. It's good to see the trade press finally starting to see the future. Now if only the awards shows could follow suit...
