Courtesy of Mooch, I found a new viral site this morning. Kind of random but fun idea for selling booze (vodka mixer, to be precise). The concept is a fake blog, called Uriplanet written by a fictional character whose interests include dog sledding and generally entertaining us with his crazy antics. While this one is probably not a hit (a little too kookie?), I like because it is attempting, at least, to be funny. Which is probably the golden rule of viral micro-sites. No humor = nobody forwards it to their friends = its not really viral. Now I'm not saying this rule is "immutable"; there are other tricks you can use, but comedy really works the best and there is not nearly enough of it used in advertising on this side of the pond. Try it, you might like it!
